NETAC unveils its DDR5 memory up to 8000 MT/s

A Chinese company is set to launch its fastest DDR5 memory yet, the “Hurricane Z RGB series”.

The new 2×16 or 2×32 GB kits will be available with silver-plated and black memory heat spreaders. Those kits have now been delivered to the first Chinese media for review.

NETAC specializes in products with flash memory, including storage, thumb drives and system memory. The company has already launched its DDR5 memory series last year, but those were not offered with high clocks, which is what other companies are now focusing on.

However, it appears that NETAC will soon join this short list of companies offering 8000 MT/s memory based on the latest DDR5 standard. This memory would be supported by both Intel and AMD systems, but obviously not always at the full speed.

What is important to note is that the 8000 MT/s kit is just the fastest model. NETAC will be offering its Z RGB series at other speeds as well, such as 6000, 6200, 6600, 7200, 7600 and 8000 MT/s. Memory timings will vary and so will the voltage, but it will not be higher than 38-48-48-128 at 1.5V, which is the spec of the fastest kit.

The company has confirmed specs and pricing for the new kits (2x16GB):

  • DDR5-8000: 38-48-48-128, 1.5V, 2299 RMB (~$335)
  • DDR5-7600: 36-46-46-122, 1.4V, 1899 RMB (~$276)
  • DDR5-7200: 34-45-45-115, 1.4V, 1699 RMB (~$247)
  • DDR5-6600: 34-40-40-105, 1.4V, 1499 RMB (~$218)
  • DDR5-6200: 32-38-38-96, 1.35V, 1399 RMB (~$203)
  • DDR5-6000: 36-36-36-96, 1.35V

As for availability, other NETAC DDR5 memory can be found on e-tail sites such as Amazon, but this particular kit has not been listed there or on international NETAC website yet. That said, this product may remain exclusive to the Chinese market for a while.
