The company has already launched the RTX 4090 and RTX 4070 Ti HOF (Hall of Fame) series, but the RTX 4080 for some reason was delayed until now. Today, GALAX introduces not one, but three models based on the same design with AD103 GPU.
A quick reminder to that HOF series represents GALAX top GPU tier. In fact, the HOF series are currently the only enthusiast GPUs that were truly designed for extreme overclocking. That’s the main reason these cards typically shipped to overclockers before they even appear on a market.

Today GALAX launches three models. The naming might be confusing at first, so here’s a quick breakdown:
- GALAX GeForce RTX 4080 HOF OC LAB Plus-X: 2640 MHz boost, HOF Panel III
- GALAX GeForce RTX 4080 HOF OC LAB Plus: 2640 MHz boost
- GALAX GeForce RTX 4080 HOF OC LAB: 2595 MHz boost
As you can see, the PLUS models offer highest factory-overclocking, while non-PLUS SKU ships with lower clocks. The difference between Plus X and Plus is actually quite simple: the former is bundled with GALAX HOF Panel III, an external display that can show system information or custom graphics, the latter is not.
With a boost clock of 2640 MHz, the HOF is one of the fastest RTX 4080 on the market, but not the fastest. Thus far, the highest clock for RTX 4080 GPU can be found on ROG STRIX OC from ASUS. It ships with 2655 MHz frequency enabled through the bundled software OC (not out of the box).

GALAX confirms that their RTX 4080 HOF will feature two BIOS settings, either the Silent or Performance modes. In Silent mode, the clock speed will be kept at reference specs of 2505 MHz and TDP at 320W. In Performance mode, the BIOS will be modified to 400W TDP which can further be adjusted to 470W through manual overclocking.
The company did not confirm pricing or release date, but all three models are now listed by official website. Just bear in mind that HOF series are typically low-volume series, so they are relatively difficult to buy, especially at launch.
