Chinese AMD board partners now pushing the inventory below MSRP

It is no longer just the US market, as Chinese board partners are now dropping the price of RX 7900 XT below the suggested level.

Yeston is now selling its RX 7900 XT at just ¥6499 (~$934), which is ¥900 below the official Chinese MSRP. That is actually the opposite of what this particular company is doing on the US market, though. The same model can now be found at a $1,199 price on Newegg, so $300 above MSRP.

The important thing to note is that RX 7900 XT now costs less than MSRP for Chinese customers, and Yeston is not the only brand that lowered the price. Both XFX and Sapphire are also selling their 7900 XT at ¥6599. In fact, one can find listings from PowerColor, ASRock and Vastarmor all offering their cards now below ¥7399 (MSRP). Companies that are not offering any promotions include Gigabyte, MSI and ASUS.

The Chinese market has higher prices than the US, mostly because of the added value tax. However, since most desktop cards are made in Asia these days, this market tends to indicate price changes much sooner than others. It is worth reminding that Chinese shops lowered the price of Ryzen 7000 series 2 weeks before similar deals reached other regions.

The reports from Chinese sites claim that RX 7900 XT can now be found for as low as ¥5999, but the lowest price we found was ¥6299 on Taobao. Those are often not the official stores, though.

Worth noticing that all cards listed in this price comparison chart can now be found below MSRP. This is great news for gamers in China, and probably something to expect to take effect on global market in the coming weeks. Especially as NVIDIA and AMD are to launch next-gen mid-range models most likely by the end of Q2.
